Two - story frame
Kentucky realtor Schuyler Ridgway had done some foolish things in her time, like marrying Ed Ridgway, a man with a cheating heart. Divorcing him was a smarter move. Helping him and his socialite fiancée buy a house was outright stupid. Schuyler just knew the deal would never go through. But she didn't have an inkling that the nonnegotiable problem would be murder. The house was perfect, a two-story frame with a wraparound porch. It didn't have termites or water in the basement - but it had a pretty corpse at the foot of its graceful stairs. Someone put the kibosh on the sale and on Ed's future wife. The prime suspect? Ed, of course. He insisted he was being framed, although Schuyler felt his fleeing the scene of the crime looked suspicious. When he did out with their college-aged sons, Nathan and Daniel, making them accessories after the fact, Schuyler knew she had to do something terribly distasteful. Prove Ed was innocent - for once in his life.
